MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ? It?s Thursday, and that means it?s time to start planning your weekend.
There are plenty of events going on this weekend, everything from places to enjoy art to a spot to take your family pet. Here are some options:
Minnesota Fringe Festival
Thursday marks day one of the 10-day Minnesota Fringe Festival. The Fringe Festival is about performing arts and audiences gathering together. There are 165 shows in 15 venues around Minneapolis.
Shows are never longer than an hour. Tickets are $12 per show for adults and $5 for children. Packages are also offered at a discount.
Art Fair Trifecta
It?s a weekend full of arts in Minneapolis with three separate festivals. You could call it an art trifecta. Hundreds of artists will decend upon the city showing their creations.
There?s the Loring Park Art Festival, Powderhorn Art Fair and the Uptown Art Fair. There will be lots of activities, food and beverages. To avoid parking hassles and traffic delays be sure to get you Art Pass for free bus or light rail service.
Paws On Grand
Wrap up the weekend Sunday on St. Paul?s Grand Avenue with your four-legged friend for Paws on Grand. There?s a dog wash, doggie photo booth and you can even watch your pooch walk down the aisle and into wedded bliss.
This is a free event.
